My objective for today is finish reading/annotating my thoughts on Kay Cahill’s book User-generated contant and its impact on Web-based library services. I am about halfway through the book and, while Cahill has managed to described a good number of user generated venues, she has not yet addressed an intersection with library services — and this is really what really concerns me. The author states a great many commonly known facts about user generated content and, running parallel with those statements, she provides information about library services, but the paths of those two topics have not yet crossed. Yet it is really the only book that directly addresses the topic in which I am interested.
